When someone asks you if you are pregnant (if you are)?
A few months ago I would have said no way, my reasoning being I'd be thrilled to be pregnant, and excited that something about me changed enough to prompt someone to ask me this.
Answer: YES, it is possible to be offended. Girl at the office who I don't know particularly well asked me flat out if I was pregnant.
I was shocked, and thought she was the rudest B alive. WHO, I beg of you, asks? Isn't this an unspoken rule between women?
Haha...
I think she felt like an ass when I had to admit that yes, I am, and that I am not yet 11 weeks.
Re: Q: Is it possible to be offended...
I'm overweight and one day when I was getting lunch at Wendy's I was starving so I rubbed my stomach to get it to shut up. And these two construction workers in line asked me when I was due.
I politely explained (with a laugh) that I wasn't pregnant, just fat. You should have seen the looks on their faces.
I'm the same way! Unless I KNOW you're pregnant, I don't ask. What if she had the baby 2 months ago but still have that "look"? I'm not going there!
On the day that we closed on our house last year, I wore this super cute cropped jacket (you know, the flowy, loose ones), and the lawyer-lady looked at me and said, "Congratulations! A new house AND a new baby! When are you due?" Ugh. No, moron, it's just the style of the jacket. Needless to say, I haven't worn that jacket since.
Well, I'm showing a little bit and I was in subway and a couple of frat guys said "Yeah she only needs the 6 inch. But maybe the Jared diet will work for that belly poking out." I cried in the middle of subway. Then I called them douchebags and told them I was pregnant.
I didn't even think I was fat, I just have a little bit more belly than I used to...
I did get a gree pack of apples though
I LOVE him. When's that baaaaaaby coming (the baby from the zoo)?
YES! unless you are 7 months + and there is no reason to doubt.
If you have to ask.... DON'T
