it looks like i'm the only one who wears yellow gold instead of white/ platinum? maybe it's my skin tone.

    Yellow gold clashes with my skin color and makes me look red/orange! I prefer white gold or platinum any day, even sterling silver!

    to each his own. gold doesn't look right on me. Mine is platinum, but my DH got an amazing deal on it.

    I am just more partial to white gold I guess. I like yellow gold for fun pieces, but my investment jewelry I like in white.

    Mine are yellow gold. I still wear a lot of silver with all of my other jewelry. The prongs on my engagement ring are platinum, so there is a little silver there.

    I wear both.  My wedding set is platinum, but I wear gold too.  My DH gave me an emerald for my wedding gift and it's in gold and i wear both just on different hands obviously.  I say wear what you like!  :)

    Mine is yellow gold. ?The engagement ring was DH's grandmother's and I wouldn't trade it for anything!

    I prefer yellow gold because anything else makes my already pale skin look even more white.
