Trying to Get Pregnant

My poor friend (ngpr)

I feel so bad for my poor friend.  She has been planning her destination wedding for a year to be in Mexico in May.  She sent out an email to all guests saying "it's fine and we're not worried."

People are starting to cancel and I really wish she would just relocate the wedding.

Would you go?

  • that blows, DH and i have a booked trip for cancun at the end of may, and we still plan on going (as long as they will let us fly out)

I would probably go if it were in an area like cancun, or cabo where there aren't reported cases (yet) .

  • yikes!  That's so soon to relocate.  I don't know if I would still go.. Probably if I wasn't pregnant.

  • I would go but you better believe I would be mega dosing on Vit-C and Echincea with some Ginger on hand!

  • ugh that totally sucks for her! im not sure if i would go or not....i guess it would depend on how good of a friend she was.
  • That sucks!  I would go if there weren't a lot of cases in her specific area, but like pp's I'd stock up on the Vitamin C and I'd be washing my hands constantly!  However, if I was pg, I'd stay home for sure...just to be safe.

  • I would definitely go (unless I was ku). My wedding was in Mexico and it was so much fun. I think our guests actually had more fun that us. But like pp, I would use extra precautions. Also, I do not see how you could relocate with less than a month to plan. It's difficult with big groups.
  • Yeah, I agree with you.  I'm more worried about getting on planes from Mexico and being in the Mexico airports than about the city itself.  It's in a pretty random area, 4 hours drive from the nearest airport.

A bunch of our friends have new babies and/or are pregnant, and we all have been on the phones today.  I think those friends are going to bail and it's not going to go over well Sad

  • I'd go, but I'm an adventurous type. ?Just take precautions.?

But, if all my guests were bailing, I guess I'd have to think about changing my plans. ?

That really sucks for your friend.?

***************************** Our beautiful daughter was born in October 2009. Turns out she was quite the miracle. After two years of TTC, diagnosed with DOR. A couple of failed treatment cycles later, we decided to let go of our hope for more biological children and explore adoption.
