what do you do with your baby all day? I feel like there's got to be more that I should be doing, but what??
We feed them, let them nap, do tummy time, read them books at night...what else? What is your schedule like with your little baby?
And when do babies stop sleeping so much during the day? Cooper seems to be more awake during the day, but Spencer is still ready to sleep all the time, so I'm a bit confused.
thank you.
Re: one more question: moms of little babies..
When DS was small, I tried to sleep while he slept, although most of the time I either rested or did stuff around the house. I can't fall asleep very fast.
When DS was little he really just like to lay on the bed and just BE. We would be on the bed with him, but he just liked to lay there and look around.
Also I would carry him around and talk to him, we would go on walks outside, sometimes in the stroller, but a lot of the time I would just walk up and down the sidewalk infront of our house and hold him (when weather permitted).
Swing, playmat, bouncy seat, etc.
We feed her, watch her sleep, do tummy time, give her a bath every other day or so, I read to her, she spends time in the swing (she's sleeping there right now), I'll put her on the newborn lounger on the kitchen counter while I'm cleaning/cooking. We've been trying to find little reasons to get out of the house a few times a week..we've been to Target, HEB, BRU, the weiner dog races, on walks around the neighborhood, etc.
Caroline has been more awake during the day over the past week or so. She likes to just lay in her newborn lounger and hang out..she's move her hands all around and I'll talk to her. She eats every 3 hours or so.
The Blog
Someone asked this a loooooong time ago and thankfully I remembered to save this link: https://www.sosmart.com/0-3months.html I think Abbysmom recommended. Luke LOVES looking at the snail from this website.
I also walk around the house and describe what I'm/we're looking at, sing to him, and sit with him in my lap and just talk to him. He also loves checking out the ceiling fan in the living room, so he watches that a.lot.
I think as long as you're interacting with them in some way it really doesn't matter what you're doing.
