Karen

I've always loved this name. What are your thoughts?

Re: Karen

  • It's a more classic name that's not too common now (but still sounds kind of youthful) so I like it :)

I agree. It's a classic that was very popular 50 years ago, but is an underused classic today. I like it! ?

  • I don't love it but there's nothing wrong with it.
  • It's ok. I would envision someone in their 30s-50s for the name Karen.
    Blank!
  • We're using a version of it as a mn, so I definitely like it!  We considered it as a fn, but it just wouldn't work for us.  (We're using the altered spelling b/c we're combining Carol+Sharon for the grandmothers.)
  • My name is Karen and I love it! I have a friend with the same name who spells is Caryn, so you might consider the "C" spelling if you're looking for something a little more youthful.

  • I like this name and you don't hear it all that often anymore.  I know 5 Karen's my age though, so I guess it was pretty popular in the late 70's/early 80's?
  • It's my name and I love it too!  I only ever knew 2 girls my age with it.  I love that it is not a commonly used name but it is still something everyone knows.

  • Thats my name! Funny, because most Karens I know were always a generation older than me. didn't think it would have a comeback...

    ?

Note: My parents spelled it Karen, but I prefer Carin, hence the CJ...

Try out some different spellings, I also knew a Caryn, or Cairn, like the terrier :-)?
