When I started getting them, at 17 weeks, my uterus felt sooo TIGHT. I still get them but they are not as uncomfortable as in the beginning. Maybe they will ease for you as well...
I'd give the OB a call. When I called my doctor at 17.5 weeks to make sure it was okay to be having BH contractions so early, they had me go in to L&D to get checked out (I was totally surprised -- thought I was just being paranoid). They said that 17 weeks was rather early to be feeling them (even though you actually start having them beginning at 8 weeks or something).
I did read, however, that women who have been pregnant before commonly begin feeling them earlier.
Anyway, might as well give your doc a call, you know?
I was have been having some the past week or so and casually mentioned it at my OB appointment this week. She said if they are more frequent than 3-4 in an hour that I had to rest, put my feet up, drink water, and call them. You may want to give your doc a call.
what do they feel like? I am not sure this is what im having but they hurt if it is!
its where your whole belly gets tight, they are kinda like practice contractions for the real thing and can start around the 8th week but you usally wont feel them till abour 20weeks. they usally dont hurt but can have a crampy feeling to them
