So we are trying to figure out names. If it is a boy, I would like to name him after DH. But obviously the baby would need to go by a different name. My hubby's middle name is Baker. Would that be weird? I know family names are really popular now, but I never heard of anyone going by Baker. What do you think? Tell me the truth I can take it.
Re: Would this be lame?
I actually know a guy with the first name Baker and he was never made fun of that I know of. I think you just have to judge how acceptable more unique family names are in your area. I'm from Alabama where its not uncommon at all to use a maiden name or a last name of a relative as a first name, so people don't think much about it.
If you like it, go for it!
Hey, I am around Birmingham, too! Small world. ?:)?
Hmmm... I don't really think it "works" as a first name but I agree that if you like it, use it. I've seen/heard way worse.
We gave DS DH's first name (but a different middle name) so I understand wanting to honor your DH.

Hmmm I didn't think of that. So your DS goes by his middle name I assume?
I agree with this and I do like the name Parker. You could definitely use Baker if ya'll like it.
