Dh and I are really liking this name. My only concern is that it's trendy. We like really classic, traditional names. Do you think Savannah is trendy??

    I've seen it quite a bit in the last few weeks on here, but I don't know how many people will choose it in the end. Other than this board, I don't know of any Savannahs besides my friend's dog.

    I don't view it as that trendy. Apparently it was #30 in 2007, but it was right under Victoria.

    I think it's just a feminine name that has gained some popularity, like several others that end in 'a'. ?To me the 'trendy names' ae the top ten you hear constantly.?

    ?I have only met two Savannah's. One is a teenager and the other is six.

    I don't think it's trendy. I really like this name, but my SIL wants to use it, which is ok with me. I get to have a niece with a cute name :)

    Where I am, Savannah was much more popular 7-8 years ago.  I don't think it's trendy at all.  Very pretty.

    I think Savannah is a beautiful name. Not too trendy at all; the only Savannah I know is 12.

    Sorry, I do think it's trendy. ?Very trendy. Several Savannahs here under 5. ?If you like classic, traditional names in general, and decide to have other children, you might be a bit stuck. ?

    I think it depends on where you live. I don't think it is trendy, but I don't know where you live. Another name that I like is Samantha. It is sort of along the same lines, but I still like Savannah too. Just remember you won't always be living where you are living or with the same friends, so just make sure you like the name.....

    I lovelovelove that name. But I love all southern-type names. It used to be popular I think a few years ago, I haven't heard it much lately...

    I LOVE the name Savannah! DH and I originally picked Savannah for our LO, but eventually decided that we are going to go with Madison instead. I personally don't know any Savannah's so I can't say that I think it's trendy at all.

    I think it's becoming trendier by the day. Our friends had a baby less than a year ago and named her this, and our other friends are going to name their baby girl this as well!

    WinkI think it depends where you live. I'm in NH - and we're naming DD Savannah - everyone says that it's very "southern and pretty"...there are not many little Savannahs running around up here.
