Oh boy..... I won't even venture over there. I will say the days I have been home with dd when she is sick it is more work than actually working. That being said I am still a fulltime Mom.

Yiles. I do think it's impossible to really come up with "titles" that please everyone. You're always going to have SAHMs who think that they're also "working" because caring for your child(ren) all day is hard work. It's not a paying job though, so you're not really working in the job sense. Ugh.
I can see where she got her ass all jumbled up. I think she meant caregiver, as in, she's caring for the kids during the day while h is at work, vs kid at daycare with a non-mom caregiver while mom and dad both work. Definitely not defending her- she should have known "part time mom" was equivalent to calling her a bon bon eating soap opera watcher who just sponges of her husband. Implying that moms could ever be part-time is ridiculous and judgey. I do think it's a really touchy subject for a lot of people and it's hard to really come up with a description that doesn't offend someone.
Re: In case you're bored...
I'm a part time MOM!
Does this mean I don't have to answer the babysitter if she calls in an emergency? Hm. I have to think about that. ?
