    I should print this out for DH.  He is obsessed with 100% breast milk. I'm not really keeping up (I work full time) and blowing through my freezer stash.  We had a big fight last night about supplementing with 4 oz of formula.  FOUR ounces.  He plays the guilt card and it works...

    ok well i just got to the end of the article and the writer suddenly turned vicious.  i was listening to her until that point.

    Totally. I think the author made some things up, for starters. Can you imagine being around other moms who decide not to hang out with you because you might supplement with formula? Whatever.It's not reality - less than 20% of babies in the US are EBF to even six months, yet she's projecting her upper east side mommy group mentality onto the whole nation.

    I am an EBF but wouldn't think of judging a mom for how she feeds her baby. Still, I thought the article was wack, the author full of shiite, and have posted that here before. Subsequent letters to the atantic monthly have ripped it, too.
