Thursday, I had an appointment for a NST and internal. ?I got to the doctor's office at 8:45 AM, and started the NST. ?Paige failed three in a row, even after drinking a coke, changing positions, etc. ?Of course I started panicking, called DH and had him come up to meet me. ?She sent me for a biophysical profile. ?She scored 4 out of 8. ?I am in hysterics by now. ?But we new she was breathing, just now moving. ?I was dilated 3 cm and almost 80% effaced and 38.5 weeks, so we decided to induce that day. ?Went to the hospital and started pitocin around 1. ?Oh my freaking goodness, the back labor is so awful. ?Of this whole process, that was by far the worst. ?I labored for about 5 hours on my own, and they I had to get the epidural around 6. ?PURE RELIEF!!! They checked me a few times, but by 11 PM, I had only dilated from a 3 to 5. ?So 10 hours of labor got me 2 cm. ?This is when they also told me that Paige's heart rate was not good. ?She was not tolerating labor well and the doctor didn't want me to go any more. ?By this point, I hadn't eaten since 6 AM that day, was exhausted from the hours of back labor with no pain medication, and worried about my little girl. ?So when she said I recommend C-Section, I said YES! They wheeled me into the operating room at 11:06 PM and Paige was born at 11:18. ?C-Section was okay...I was very nauseous and threw up a few times, and it felt like someone was pulling my organs out and rearanging them haha...but when I heard that precious cry, 2 years, IVF, failed induction and all - it was so worth it. ?She was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20.5 inches long. ?She has a head full of black hair. ?Look in my blog and look at DH and I and see if you can believe that! She is so beautiful. ?Breast feeding is going well. ?I love it. ?It is very rewarding and I know there are tough days ahead, but I am so glad I am nursing. ?We left the hospital with her weighing 6 pounds 13 ounces, so we are going to watch her closely. ?I really hope to not have to supplement. ?I am off to wake the little one up to get her to eat! I will load my picture tomorrow. ?I know everyone says this, but she is so gorgeous. ?Being a mommy is the best thing in the whole world.
