WDYT of Maddox?

Is it to Angelina and Brad?

Our other possibilities are Eli, Max, Grayson, Lucas.

But DH is really liking Maddox.

    Maddox is a name that I like but, yes, it is too Brangelina. Actually, I don't think I'd know the name at all if it weren't for them. There's a Maddox St near me but I'm guessing I wouldn't have thought twice about it as a baby name without Angelina using it.

    If it's the name you and DH love and agree on, it's fine. But I'm assuming you'll hear lots of comments about/references to them if you use it.

    my H loves that name- and I like it... but even as we considered it on our top list i couldn't decide how it was pronounced

    mad-ox    or mad-ix- ( not quite ix, but less of a drawn out sound than ox has)

    so- i don't like it for that reason. I couldn't decide which way it should be said, and it was weird to me

    We struggle with this too. There aren't very many boy names we can agree on and Maddox is at the top of our list, but I'm just not sure I could use it bc of the Brad and Angelina thing. We already get tons of 'Brangelina' comments bc our family is built thru adoption and we both have lots of tattoos, etc. Using Maddox just wouldn't help, I don't think! But I do love the name.

    Maddox is nms, but I don't think it's 'too Brangelina' just because it's the name of their son.  For me it's a bit 'last name as a first name' sounding which is why i don't care for it but it's not bad and if you and your DH like it I wouldn't shy away just because it's the name of a celebrity couple's child.

    It would make me think you are huge Bradgelina fans.

    Plus, whenever I see that name, I think of Maalox.  Not a great association.

    I think it sounds nive, But I do think Brangelina!

    We're most likely going with Lucas if it's a boy!

    Maddox is DS name, so I dont think it is too Brand and Angelina at all.  I love it! 

    I do like Eli and Lucas a lot too though.
