Long cycle=Weird period? (poss. tmi)

So, the weirdest thing is happening with my period. The first 1.5 days, normal, bright red flow. Now the flow is a little lighter, but not much, however, it is dark red/brown in color. I've never had a real flow that was dark, just end of cycle spotting.

Can this be attributed to my longer cycle last month, or is this something weird?

I have long cycles, and that sounds pretty normal to me.
