When is/was your u/s?

Originally my dr scheduled my ultrasound for my May appt, when I will be 21 wks. Then, at my last appt, she said she thought we'd wait till June--when I'll be 25 weeks! Just wondering if anyone had to wait this long and if so, if you know if there's a medical or other reason why the dr would wait with certain women?? I have a call in to the nurse to clarify everything, but thought I'd see I anyone has had a similar experience? Thanks!!

I will be 18w1d for mine. Not sure if there's a medical reason for doing it later.

Is it just a regular ultrasound, or your 20 week checkup/finding out gender? If that is the case, and you want it earlier, just tell them to schedule it sooner. Otherwise, my last u/s is at 20 weeks, and then my Dr. told me I probably won't have any more.

from what i hear it's best between 18 and 22 weeks.

Seems kind of late to me.

DDs was at 20w 4d

DC #2 was at 19w

My big u/s was at 20w3d. My doctors office does everyone at 12w and 20w.

I'll be 19w1d for mine but if I had been allowed to have it in the office (insurance drama) the doctor was willing to do it at 18w1d. I can't wait to know!

Mine is scheduled for 18w1d.

Did she measure you? If you are measuring small maybe she just wants to wait for the baby to get a little bigger before trying to get the measurements they need?

Or, maybe she's just on vacation in May. Wink

I had one at 18 weeks, and will be going back on Monday for another. I think part of the reason for my second is that I'm over 35, and had a uterine prolapse. Whatever it is, I'm not going to argue!

25 sounds kinda late~

mine was 20wk, 6days (it felt like an eternity especially when a lot of people on here seem to get theirs at like 18-19 weeks- but that may just be me because i had to wait past 20 weeks haha)

mine will be at 19w 2d, and then every 4 weeks after that. (23w, 27w,31w, 35w)

my doc said he has to put an order in for it. maybe your doc has to do the same and she forgot to at your last appointment. so instead of admitting she forgot she is just telling you it would be better to wait.?

or who knows maybe she has a good reason. i will be about 23 weeks at mine?

It's supposed to be our big one to find out baby's sex. It's the only one my dr does besides the early 7-8 wk one to date the pregnancy (unless I would have complications or another reason to have an extra u/s). If I'm measuring small, she didn't tell me that. I'm so disappointed to have to wait another whole month!

Mine will be anywhere between 20wks and 22wks depending on when they schedule me. I'll know exactly next week after my 16wk appointment.

I feel your pain! I had mine scheduled for about 20 wks, then my hubby lost his job, and we lost our insurance, so I had to reschedule for May when the new insurance kicks in. I will be 25 1/2 wks! Totally bummed out - everyone on here knows what they are having around 20 wks, and here we are having to wait another month! Ok, deep breath, rant over.

Mine is on Monday. I will be 19w4d. They usually don't do it until after 20 weeks at my doctors office, but they let me come in early because my monthly appointment should have been on Thursday 4/23.

I had the NT scan at 10w6d and I am scheduled for my big u/s at exactly 19 weeks.

Mine will be May 21st (18 weeks 3 days). I had to hassle the radiology office because at first they wanted to schedule me very early, for April 29 (15 weeks 2 days), in which case I probably would not have had a very successful gender prediction etc. So I guess it just depends on the place.
