I am just BFing right now. I need to start pumping but I don't want to..I HATED pumping for the twins. I EP for 2 months and then I had enough. It was to much with newborn twins and EP for me.?

i started pumping a few weeks ago to start a stash since i'll be going back to work soon...i also don't enjoy it..makes me feel like a cow or something..but yet i'm fasinated and a lil bit obsessed with the amount of milk i can get out...yea, a love/hate relationship....
when i go back to work, i'll pump in the morning after first feeding...9, 1, then again after her last feeding in the evening...i'm hoping i'll feel secure enough with my prob 300+ oz stash to drop either the early morning or night pump session
hopefully for you pumping for one instead of two will be a much better experience
once - after her morning feeding. It is the only time I feel I can get anything worth saving and not feel like I am "robbing" her stash. I don't go back to work until 9/1, so I have time to build a stash. Hopefully she can get into a routine soon and I can build in a pumping, but not yet...
And with the delivery trifecra of one twin vaginal, one c-section with general anesthesia for twin B, Spencer and Sidney joined us at 35 weeks exactly on June 18.
When I was at home on ML, I pumped once a day (after his morning feeding and while he usually napped) for my freezer stash.
Since I went back to work at 7 weeks, I pump in the am on the other side while he nurses, at lunch and usually after I get home before or while he nurses in the afternoon. I wish I could pump more at work, but it usually doesn't happen.

You're my hero...you have 3 boys under 14 months?
I pump 3x/day at work. 0-1 times a day on the weekends.
I'm still on mat. leave. I'd been pumping 1x a day, but I'm trying to increase my supply so I've added a pump session and I also pump if/when DH gives DD a bottle of EBM.
When I go back to work, I'll pump 3x a day, maybe 4 if I am full in the AM after she eats and before I go to work.
I TOTALLY know what you mean. With this baby I really hesitated starting to pump b/c pumping for my twins was rough. I honestly believe it was the beginning of the end of my breastfeeding with them - I was so overwhelmed with BF, pumping and supplementing with formula. I just didn't want to go back to that place mentally.
This time I started pumping at about three weeks, maybe once a day, so DH could introduce the bottle. Between four weeks and now I've pumped when I felt really full or when I missed a feeding b/c LO was sleeping through.
I've been really irregular with my pumping so far b/c I really needed it to work for me, rather than falling victim to some strict schedule like I did last time. Now that I am almost eight weeks in I feel ready to put some structure to it - oh yeah, and I have to since I'm returning to work in a couple of weeks!
My twins are 5! My baby is 3!
