I've kept the cards from their births, Baptisms and first birthdays. They are just in ziplock bags in a box in the attic. I only did this because my mom kept cards from when I was a baby, and it's kind of fun to read through them and see the late-70's baby art on them. I figure they may be interested in reading/seeing them when they are older.
the only cards i ever keep are photo cards - i have a special album i put them all in (xmas, baptism, you name it- any photo that comes in the mail to our house goes in there).... I will also keep a copy of any invite that WE send out, too- just to remember it... but any other card I throw away- i will never look at them again and all they do is take up space.
I do, in bookcloth boxes. Now I'm keeping thank you cards, holiday cards, etc as well, but putting them in a box that DD can play with. She loves them, calls them "my letters"
