Ugh....we were just there for DH and now it's my turn. I went with him to the doctor today, and as long as we were there I figured I'd ask a few questions. I've had heart issues for a while now, but it never seemed to be more than an annoyance. My heart would just start racing for no reason and my blood pressure would go up. I noticed that some things would trigger it, so I stopped them but lately it's been happening more and with no trigger (like, just as I'm lying down to go to bed).
So, I ask the doc about it, thinking it's no big deal, and he immediately sends me for an EKG and bloodwork. Of course, they can't find anything (grr), so now I get to wear a heart monitor for the next 2 weeks to see if they can figure it out.
Just had to vent!
Re: My turn for the ER
Wow! I am so sorry. My mom actually has a rapid heart beat. Sometimes for no apparent reason. She has a condition called POTS which can sometimes be onset by a virus. Check it out: https://www.nymc.edu/fhp/centers/syncope/pots.htm
Complete surprise!

GL! I hope you get some answers.
I had to wear a monitor for a few weeks last year. My problem was narrowed down to too much caffeine coupled with not enough sleep and the stress from graduate school.
I hope its nothing serious. Hopefully they will figure out whats going on.
I just saw your response to my post. I didn't realize you were in the same neck of the woods!
