How often does your DH suggest names?

We won't be TTC until early 2010, but I often ask DH what he thinks about names. Often it's me saying, "Do you like <insert name>? Or <insert name>?"

The other day, out of the blue, he said, "You know, I like the name Cohen for a boy." My jaw dropped. He never really has mentioned names before and it shocked me.

Is your DH like this, or is he the type to actively suggest names?

He goes back and forth. It is usually me suggesting the names, but he throws a name out here and there. He likes Hawk but I vetoed it! and he also likes Colton. He is going to let me name our girl if we have one, but I'm sure he will have some input.

I am pretty much a name enthusiast, so I always suggest names to him or mention I like something. He's a practical type of guy, so he won't worry about names until we actually need to come up with one. He did surprise me a couple of months ago at a restaurant - when we got our bill, the waitress was Elsa. He mentioned how he liked it. Random!

Mine is just barely realizing that we have to actually give the kid a name. For months he wouldn't even tell me his opinion on names I suggested; he would just say "It's too soon. We'll talk about it later". Grrr. And I, too, am a name enthusiast, so it got really old.

He's never suggested anything. I think I'd fall over if her did. He only looked at my list and said yay or nay to the names on it.

He only likes ONE name (Nora) and nothing else can compare I guess.

Mine only knows how to say two things in regards to baby names: No or Maybe. I haven't really gotten a yes yet. He has only thrown out one name ever, and I hated to tell him that Ansley wasn't my style.

I do this all the time w/ DH. But he's only mentioned a specific name one time (out of the blue and I was shocked). So, no, he does not actively suggest names.
