On a positive note.....

Not that anyone cares, but DS is excited to plant his garden for this summer.  He wants DH to take him to Home Depot to buy wood to build a stand to "sell his vegatables"  Yes he wants to make money off of his garden. I am trying to explain to him that it isn't that big!!!  Big Smile

That's really great!  It will be such a great experience.

On another note - my SS tried planting cherry tomatoes and of course I was helping him.  I was telling him to keep them in the sun but to make sure they were watered.  He put the pot on a metal slab out in the sun, and never did.  Needless to say when he remembered the poor plant was fried!!

  • Oh that is so cute! I hope he grows some big veggies. He should try planting his own pumpkin (I heard you plant them later in summer). How cool would that be to carve your own pumpkin?!

  • Very cute!  We tried planting pumpkins last year w the kids and were going to carve in their initials in them to see how they would grow (as a surprise to them), but they never grew... sad, but true.

Hoping we do better this year for a garden, but the kids aren't all into helping with that-plus it's TINY!!!

GL w the young tomato farmer!

  • Try strawberries, they are super easy and produce a lot, or blueberry plants...both sweet and easy fun!  GL
