Speaking of Mothers Day ......

Any of you first time Mommas "celebrating" it?

 

Personally I will not be, as I'm technically not a mom yet .....

 

but just curious if others feel the same way.

    There are cards for "moms to be" so I am sure I will get a card from DH and maybe something small.

    DH is going to order me some of my favorite tea (the grocery here carries every flavor EXCEPT the one I love: Celestial Seasoning's Cold Brew Blueberry Iced Tea)....but that's it.

    I got him a cute tee shirt (www.ryananddawnsteed.blogspot.com) that I broke down and gave him this week for his birthday (with 2 other birthday gifts) instead of waiting till Father's Day.  So when Father's Day rolls around, I'll probably get him just a card and remind him of the shirt!

    We are celebrating by having our families all over at our house for a cook out. We normally cook out on weekends anyways so its not a huge deal just a time to get together with family. We arent doing anything big for me or at least I dont' think DH has anythign planned

    My birthday is 3 weeks exactly after Mother's Day and DD is due about a week before my birthday so I'm sure DH will do something for Mother's Day/ birthday

    I've told my BF that I expect to get a "mommy 2 be" card. I am carrying his child so it is the least he could do!

    I'm kind of hoping my mom and MIL will at least recognize the day a bit for me :-)

    I plan to inform DH that he has to buy me a card.  He'll probably just sign it from the dogs, but that's okay.

    My parents will be in town for Mothers' Day and we'll (along with my in laws) be outside at a golf tournament all day on Sunday.  I feel like I should get a medal for doing that at 7 months pregnant!!!  I plan to make DH carry around a chair for me to sit on and insist that I need yummy lemonade.  Although, I really don't want to use the porta potties.  Hmmm...

    Well I don't know if I am really celebrating it, but my whole family is going out for brunch and I am sure my mom will get me a card or something.  Other then that, I really don't think my DH will do anything.
