(she is about to drive me INSANE - bless her heart she's so excited, first grandchild & all, but I swear, I'm about to lose it! She calls and emails multiple times a day and gets snippy with me when I'm short with her)

Conversation over Google chat:

Her: Dad is ready to come up there tomorrow. He has his work calendar clear next week. Think you could work it out??

Me: I wish!

Her: You should check into some of those old wives tales. Are you eating something spicy for dinner?

Me: [sigh]

Tell her you'll get in touch with her when the baby decides to arrive and in the meantime, you'll be relaxing at home with no electricity to answer emails, phone calls or IMs.
