yeah and it always gets her moving - last night i hadn't felt her move in awhile but leave it to daddy to get her stirring! ?she's so not gonna listen to me...
lol.. yes... he touches my belly button [[he convinced its a door bell and makes the ding dong sound]] and proceeds to talk to her. He swears that they are planning a world take over and apparently I'm not included. lol. But every time he does it i just melt! My dad wasn't around in my life while i was growing up and i'm so happy that she's not going to have to go through what i went through.
He did for a little while, but then decided that he didn't know what to say and that the baby heard his voice enough anyway. I miss him doing it, actually. I loved it in a sappy, pg woman way.

He has definatly gotten more into the baby thing... it took him some time. But now he rubs, talks, kisses, and sings to her. He was trying to make plans the other day for 2 weeks from now and I said something about her coming before her due date and he reached down, got really close, started rubbing the belly and said "Nessa, please don't come on the 13th or 14th because I want us to go to the Mecca compitition" he looked up in complete surprise because she kicked just then. He smiled and said "all set, we're going, Nessa's going to wait".
Don't feel bad mine does not either. Then again my DH really does not show affection at all, he does not know how and was not brought up that way. I am slowly teaching him. He was drunk the other day and finally made a comment saying that he could not wait to meet his little girl. I almost feel off my chair. I know he loves me and will love her he can't show it though...once she comes I think that will all go away!
I'm convinced she knows its him too. When he places his hands anywhere on my belly, she instantly moves. I can't tell if she's trying to get near his hands that are so warm or get away from them lol
DH "struck a deal" with her when I was having pre-term contrax that he would read her a story every night if she stays put. ?When we get into bed he picks a book off her shelf and reads it to my belly before we go to sleep. ?It might be the cutest thing he has ever done
My DH will talk to my belly every once in awhile but all he every really says is "Bbbaaabbbbyyyyyy" over and over. Honestly, I feel pretty stupid talking to the baby as well and I have no idea what to say to it. I'm pretty sure the baby is going to recognize our voices regardless of whether or not we talk directly to the baby. We talk to each other all the time and it's not like the baby has any clue what we are talking about.
Not really.. he says he'll talk to her when she comes out. Sometimes he yells at her to come out already but that's about it. lol BUT every day when he comes home.. as soon as he starts talking she goes nuts.. but I'm convinced she knows him as well

I swear that when Ruben came out and heard DH's voice he calmed right down because he recognized it. He's already telling Anabelle how much he's going to spoil her...grreeaattt!
Yes, every night before we go to sleep. He will tell him about our days, and whatever he learned about the baby's development, and what we have going on the next day or the upcoming weekend. He lays his head on my belly and listens to the baby moving around, and loves it when he gets punched or kicked in the face by my stomach. And he always kisses my belly goodnight. It is the cutest thing ever to see such a big, burly, tattooed man talking so sweetly to a baby he hasn't even seen yet.

Awww! That is so sweet! This made me cry... at work.

haha.. my DH will always put the ipod ear plug in my belly button and play country music for her. He says she is going to come out line dancing..
me too. I swear she gets really active when she hears his voice.
Mine too... I asked him to stop - I don't want the baby to think that his name is Luke!
