I have a question for the moms who are using breast pumps. I have been looking at Medela and a couple of other brands and I am getting overwhelmed with the options. What pump did you end up getting and why?
I got the Medela Freestyle because of its hands-free option, but the Pump in Style is just as good... I actually have not even been using the hands free thing because I don't have a lock on my office door and want to be able to jerk the thing off sooner. Ha ha!
Went with the medela pis based on reviews and also recommendation of bf mom's I knew irl and the LC at my bf class I took while pregnant. I liked it, unfortunately I stopped bf after a month due to supply issues but I was pumping almost everday after leaving the hospital to get my supply so I got to really try it out.
Ameda Purely Yours. I like that it is closed and has less to clean than the PIS. It is the same as the Lasinoh (sp?). Honestly, if you go with one of the few popular ones I don't think you can go wrong.
Ameda Purely Yours/Lansinoh Double Electric- I have two, one at work and one at home. It's a closed system, spare parts are cheap (yay for not having to wash parts every night!), works great and it's less bulky than the PISA.

I have the Medela Freestyle---love that it is hands free. It is pricey ($387) but insurance covered mine 100%. I recommend checking to see if your health insurance will cover it.
Re: Breast pumps
Same. And I like that it's a closed system.
Medela Pump in Style Advanced - insurance covered mine 100%
I love it - quick and easy
