Twin Boy Names

It is very hard to believe, but I will be a mom of 2 little boys next week, and DH and I still haven't agreed on what their names will be!

First one is definitely:

Adam Douglas (last name starts with T)

Second one might be:

Andrew Taylor (DH's current favorite, but we are both concerned with having 2 names that start with A - we never intended to choose "matchy" names - what do you think?)

Backup names for #2:

Brian Taylor

Jacob Taylor

What do you think of Adam and Andrew? Would you roll your eyes if your friend named her (fraternal) twin boys these names?

I like the Adam and Andrew thing. I think it is so cute when twins have matchy names. I love the name Andrew, that is the name of my 4 year old nephew.

I knew a Brian Taylor in high school so that name made me laugh, but it's not bad at all. I'd go with Andrew. Jacob is really nice, but so popular. I'm not a fan of Taylor for a middle name unless it's a family name. ?I don't think Adam and Andrew are strange for twins.?

I think Adam and Andrew make great twin names. I don't think having the same first initial is as big of a deal as having rhyming names, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I dont love alliteration in twins, but I like the name Andrew. I would say go with Jacob Taylor. Brian and Adam reminds me of Bryan Adams. Jacob and Adam are nice together.

I like Adam and Andrew. I wouldn't worry about the double A's, we just happen to have two names on our list that start with the same letter too. The one thing that I think about though is if one name is going to produce a nickname, whereas one won't. I don't know why, but for some reason that bothers me. (like if if Adam goes by Adam but Andrew goes by Andy)

I love both of those names and I think the same letter is fine...DH is Justin and twin brother is Jason...I think the 1st and last letter are a little much to have in common but nobody ever made fun of them growing up. Jacob is also a good choice, not a fan of Brian.

I would avoid the two A's for sure. It just seems to complicate things.

I like Adam Douglas.

Paired with that I would go with Jacob.

Adam and Jacob is a lot less of a headache than Adam and Andrew.

Have you considered Jacob Andrew? I like Andrew a lot better than Taylor.

So you would have Adam Douglas, and Jacob Andrew. Love it.

I love the name Andrew, and if he went by Drew it would be fine with Adam. ?Adam and Andy is a bit much, though.

But if you were going to call him by his full name, I might avoid the double A's. I like Jacob Taylor... he could go by J.T. too! ?

No Andrew "Taylor"... that's the name of the president who decimated the Native American population, a verbal racist, and generally hated man in history.

Andrew is lovely- pick a different middle name!!

It's been noted before that naming twins with the same first name can create some issues down the road for medical records, social security, etc. Since they would both be A. Last name with the same birthdate. I would pick Jacob Andrew.
