Here are some pic of co. Kerry in Ireland, this is where we going next week.  Neither SO or SS are out door enthusiasts but I am.  I have so many great memories of the west coast or Ireland, I truly believe it is one of the most beautiful places in the world.  My dad would always take my brother and I there when we were kids.  Those are the kind of memories I want SS to have when he grows up BUT I realize he is a different child than we were.

I'm not expecting great weather but the views and walks and mountains are amazing.  I really hope he enjoys it as I am so excited.  I moved out of Ireland when I was 20, I'm now 30 so I have not been there in over 10 years.  We live on the east coast but it is only a 5 hour drive Smile

Any suggestions or recommendation to make this a fun trip for all?  We are going Friday to Monday.

    My goodness, those pics are beautiful!!!! I want to visit Ireland-it looks like a magical place!

    How old is your SS?
    What are his interests? If he has never been exposed to trips like this, then he might surprise you and love it.

    Wow it is hard not to be inspired by the natural beauty around you! I don;t have any advice, but good luck, I hope the weather holds out & that they can enjoy themselves. (and want to come back again! Wink)

    He is 7 and kinda a quiet shy kid.  I'm not sure what his interests are as he does not seem to get over excited about anything.  He likes reading, watching TV, playing Wii, no sports or anything that requires you to exert yourself to much.  He is such a good kid though so he will go along with what ever we plan.
