I have two things that I don't know what to do with them. Not recyclable (as far as I know) and I don't want to just throw them away. The first is a big oatmeal canister thingy. The second is a bunch of clear plastic florist's boxes from the bouts and corsages from the wedding I did a few weeks ago. Any ideas?
Re: Help me reuse
Hmmm.....is the oatmeal canister one of the cardboard ones that you buy in the grocery store? I've always stuck them in my recycling bin. I should look into that to see if I shouldn't be doing that.....
As far as the florist boxes, would the florist want them back to reuse them? If not, you could use them to organize small things - like loose gift wrap ribbons (just roll the ribbon you have and stick it in the box), and other odds and ends.
Sorry that I'm not very creative!
Yeah, it's the cardboard oatmeal thing, so I guess it would be recyclable. I just didn't want to 'waste' a good sturdy container if I could come up with something to do with it. I thought last night about using it to hold my paintbrushes and accessories, which would work pretty well. I've got that in a basket in the garage, but this would be less horizontal storage space and then they wouldn't get lost so easily hopefully.
As for the florist boxes, I think I'll use them to help organize some ribbon. I have no idea what florist they came from and the one I talked to wasn't interested in taking them to use again. I have like 20 of them.
Thanks!
