Bed rails for big boy/girl bed?

We got DS his big boy bed last night and he slept okay with the bedrails we have (they are old- from my neice/nephew when they were little) and I think I want to get new ones.  The ones we have don't come up very high above the mattress and aren't very long.  DS's favorite doggie fell out of the bed last night and we were up at 2:30 AM.  I never really fell back to sleep and am exhausted today.  I think he would have been fine if the rail was longer or higher.  Any recommendations?  Most of the ones at Toys R Us have received mixed reviews.

    We have this one that I ordered through Amazon and its perfect.  It comes up  much higher than the other one we have, which was a hand me down from my BIL/SIL.  Its also longer.  The reviews on Amazon are generally excellent.

    The Summer company that sells the baby monitors (not sure the exact name) sells mesh bed side rails that look well-sized.
