This is Fascinating! (NER)

Okay, I'm a big nerd.  I love online museum exhibits.  I just saw a blurb on this one on a fav blog, and I am in awe--this is so amazing!  It's called "Making Visible Embryos" and it's about the history of how we've envisioned and drawn/photographed/modeled pregnancy and embryos.  If you're icked out by fetus pics, I wouldn't look, but if you're interested in the history of birth and pregnancy, I'd check it out!

  • I have a photo image paperback that the kids & I looked at while Saxton grew in my womb.  Xavian especially was very taken with how much a fetus develops into a baby.

  • That's so interesting!  When I was teaching Family Life (sex ed), the sixth grade section dealt with puberty and how babies develop from sperm and egg into a baby.  We used a Time magazine from way back when that showed the different stages.  It was fascinating.
