I like the name Eric. Everyone I've told has said positive comments, but a lot of people say like Eric the Red. Who the heck is Eric the Red???

    Nice name. I don't know who Eric the Red is either. I would definitely not worry about that.

    Eric is an okay name. I'm pretty indifferent to it.

    Oh, ok he's a Viking. I knew Erik was Scandinavian. My grandpa Eric was from Sweden. My dad is 100% Swedish. ?That's one of the reasons I love the name.?

    I like it too. I like either spelling but DH would def. want the "traditional K."  It has been on and off of our list.

    It's kinda funny that my grandpa was with a "c" considering where he's from. All my extended family lives in Minnesota (land of the Norwegians and Swedes). My cousin is named Eric. I wasn't considering this name because my brother "claimed" it many years ago, but his wife dated an Eric and she said it isn't an option. Now I can use it! You should put it back on your list. Erik is such a classic Scandinavian name. Erik and Lukas sound like brothers!

    Considering he will be a baby for such a short time and a man for most of his life, I don't think that's just a bad thing.?

    You're right, they do go well together! The only slight prob. is that our last name begins w/ a hard G (like girl) so it kind of mixes together. I can't decide if that bothers me or not...

    That is hilarious! Exactly what came to my mind, too! Can't go wrong naming the kid after a prince charming, right? I really do like the name, but it doesn't go with my last name - Ekins
