  I had it with my DD until 22 weeks. This time I was blessed and did not get sick but once around 10 weeks! Just had to respond to let you know every pregnancy really is different. If I would have known I may not have waited 8 years.

  I was diagnosed at 8 weeks. I started getting sick at 6 weeks, but they wouldn't give me medication that early on unless I couldn't hold down water at all. By the time that happened, I was down fifteen pounds and was so dehydrated that it took three nurses several tries a piece to get an IV started for fluids. I haven't thrown up in about a week, but I still get the nausea, dizzy spells, and am hellaciously tired every single day. My OB promised I would feel better in the second trimester, and now she's saying that I can probably count on feeling under the weather the entire time. It's been bad enough that while I want more children, I don't know if I'm willing to risk being that sick again, even if my OB tells me that it's unlikely to happen again, or I can take preventative medication the next time.

  I had it, but it didnt start until the second tri. I was hospitalized twice, 5 days the first time and 9 days the second time, and got a TPN- which is an IV feeding tube. I got that out the end of march and have been better since. I still have to be careful when i eat, i get full really fast and that can make me nauseas- I have to take a bath once or twice a day to relax myself and then I feel better.

  I am 21 weeks and still have a severe case.  I'm currently on modified bed rest because of it.  I have a PICC line and am on TPN 16hrs/day and Zofran pump 24hrs/day (at one of the highest doses possible).  I'm currently on my second round of steroid therapy for it as well.  I've been through a lot due to this including hospitalization so if you have any questions or ever need to talk feel free to let me know!  (Since I'm on bed rest I'm on here pretty much all day unless I'm at a Dr appt).

  How many weeks are you right now? I know the nausea it worse than ever and feeling so weak and tired.

  Also, there's a great HG website that you might want to check out.  helpher.org  It is a website completely devoted to HG research and awareness.  The site is full of great info.  They have message boards there as well and the girls are really supportive!

  I have it, and I had it with my first, too.  With my first it lasted the entire time.  I don't know what will happen this time.

  I have it too. Had it with my first the entire 42 weeks and still have it with this one at almost 15 weeks. I'm allergic to zofran and have really strong side effects from other medications. I did find with this pregnancy, taking 12.5mg of phenergen helps take the edge off, and the side effects aren't quite as bad (was taking 25mg with first).

  I'm so sorry! I've been dealing with it since week 5. I've gone the past 4 days without taking a Zofran, and without throwing up, which is a HUGE accomplishment.?

  Someone told me that they were sick until about week 22, and then it went away. There is hope!

  I've been keeping track of good days, bad days, days without medication, etc, and celebrating any improvement I notice. It's hard to go through it, especially when you know it could last the whole pregnancy.??
