Reflux and rice ceral question

My DD only gained 4oz in 2wks, ped had us do cal count,(she is getting enough cals just burning them off due to a slight breathing issue.). She has reflux, not too bad, but some reflux and when asked the ped told me to put rice ceral in her bottle. Has anyone else done this at 6wks?

    Not at 6wks but i think it was like 8wks for us.  It helpped a lot and she did gain a lot more wgt with it.  If I made a 2oz bottle I put 1tsp of rice cereal. I used the gerber rice cerceal in a can :)

    We just started adding rice cereal about 3 weeks ago b/c we are trying to ween DS off his reflux meds.  The extra calories of the rice cereal are definitely paying off.  DS just got weighed at his 4 month appt. and he is 15lbs.!  That's nearly double what he weighed at 2 months.

    definitely get the cereal in a can.  the gerber box sucks to pour from.  the can is a bit more money, but i'm going to keep it and fill it up with the box cereal.

    I have a solution to the box of cereal.  My son started getting rice cereal mixed in with his milk from the time he was 4 weeks old.  I actually used a small tuperware container.  I poured enough cereal in it to get me by for a couple of days.  I used a spoon to put the cereal in his bottles. It worked great.
