Who has had their membranes stripped?

How long ago did you have it done?

I just got back from my first internal, and she went ahead and stripped my membranes... I'm just curious how quickly it might bring on labor...?

    I haven't yet.  It works only for some women so don't get your hopes up, but I have heard within 28-48 hours.  GL!

    I had mine stripped today at my 40 week appt; she said if it was going to do anything it would happen in 24 hours. Nothing yet, just crampy as usual after an internal

    My doc stripped mine at my 39 week appt. last monday morning, and then I went into labor the day after that.

    I had it done with my second pregnancy and it didn't do anything.....Some women have luck with it though....

    i had it done yesterday.. and i had contractions for a good 4 hours then nothing! today im just crampy here and there but nothing...

    How many cm were you?

    I'm past my due date and my doc never brought it up.  I am going to bring it up at my next appt on Friday.

    She said I was 50% effaced, and at stage -2.

    aw man! i was almost 3 she was playing with his head... haha weird
    and i was 70% effaced....

    Ya. I was up ALL NIGHT in pain with contractions, and then as soon as I got out of bed this morning to get a pen and paper and start charting the times, they stopped! OF COURSE!
