I found out my health insurance covers weight watchers for a year so I'm joining. I heard that they have a nursing mothers plan. I don't know if that's true but I wouldn't be surprised if it is (they have a plan for pregnant women as well).
We have a gym at work so I won't join any other gyms but I do plan on going swimming a lot and taking walks.

I was doing WW prior to getting pregnant and they literally kicked me out when I said I was pregnant. WW doesn't allow pregnant women to do weight watchers. However, they do have a plan for nursing moms.... thats what I'm planning to do
Because the weather will hopefully be nice, I hope to get out and walk as often as possible while on my maternity leave. Otherwise, I don't have a specific plan.
I plan on eating really well and walking a lot the first few weeks. When I am cleared by the dr to work out I'm doing P90X. I figure it will take me about 4-6 weeks til I am back up to par enough to start it but that's the plan!
I will be going back on my diet that I was one before getting pregnant. I did so good... Plus I have been walking while pregnant...but I can finally pick up running again.
I plan on walking and excercising after. Not that I did either of those before, but I figure I'll have a stroller and the weather will be nice so I might as well get out there while I don't have to work. And I'll go back to the half-fat ice cream.
I am hoping that breastfeeding helps, and I got a book about what to eat while breastfeeding to help you lose weight. (Can't remember the name of it right now...)
I got a postpartum workout tape that I can start as soon as the first day after I give birth to get my core back into shape, and I plan to get back to walking ASAP, and then when I get the ok from my doctor to get my big ass back in the gym pronto.
I cannot wait to get my body back, or at least something similar.?
I was blessed with a high metabolism, which I'm hoping wasn't ruined by pregnancy. I'm hoping that, paired with breast feeding, and maybe FINALLY dragging myself back to the gym will do the trick...
I did WW before my wedding and was successful at dropping those last 10-15 extra pounds. I plan to go back to WW because I know it works and it is really easy. I also plan to get back into a workout routine when I can start exercising again.

did you mean your health plan has a plan for pg women? Or WW?
Nutrisystem has a nursing mothers program as well. It worked for me last year and I lost over 60 pounds. It is expensive but it works for me and it is safe while I nurse.

My plan is to go back on the Glycemic Index diet they had me on for PCOS. It was working wonders. I should get back to pre-pregnancy weight pretty quickly because I haven't gained a lot.
Calorie counting with MyFoodDiary.com. It worked for me once, I'm sure it'll work this time.
I LOVE this site! I lost 35lbs in 3 months with it back in 2007 when I had total motivation to lose weight before a cruise. Of course, I gained it all back after the cruise...
The plan is to go back on MyFoodDiary.com a few months after the birth. My pg weight was about 190, I'm only at about 203 right now, so my goal is to hit 180 by the end of the year.
I want to start running and will hopefully start the Couch to 5K program again to get the pounds down. The next time I get pg, I DO NOT want to be this weight. It has caused this pregnancy to be not so fun b/c I'm just not in good shape. I will be much more energetic the next time around!

I think they do allow PG women- my coworker did it. I think she had to attend meetings instead of doing it on line...or vice versa.
my DH and i have both decided to join this new gym that opened up. its 20 bucks a month and includes tanning. we figure we can motivate each other to go and itll be something that the two of us will get to do without baby so we still have a little bit of "us" time.
I will wait the recommended 6 weeks before I start working out or trying to loose weight. I plan on BF so I know that I can't alter my eating too much but I am going to try to make my meals healthier. My goal is to be back to pre pregnancy weight before the end of July and then loose an additional 10lbs. by the end of the summer.

I love this site also. I started it Jan. '06. I weighed 210. By the time my wedding came around in May '06, I weighed 175. I stuck with it until sometime in '07 and had lost a total of 60 lbs. I kept it off sticking to the idea of the counting calories even though I stopped adding entries.
I like it has the breastfeeding option on there, but I plan on talking to my doctor about this.
I plan to kill myself at the gym and start up running again. I signed up for a 1/2 marathon in November, so my fat ass will have no excuse. And basically not eating ***. I will eat, just not what I really want. I took this eating for two thing a little too far
Yeah, WW doesn't allow PG woman to be on their plan. They will kick you out immediately. My co worker was on it and emailed to see if she could be on a modified plan and they cancelled her membership STAT!

Before I got KU I was on South Beach and had a lot of success with it, so I'll probably do that again - but since I'll be breastfeeding I'll have to eat some carbs...which is fine with me!
Well, I was about 30lbs overweight to begin with so my dr only wants me to gain 15-20lbs (I've gained 10lbs wahoo!). My goal is to try to BF (hasn't really worked in the past) and then WW and walking. My 10 year HS class reunion is in fall of 2010 and I want to be down about 50-60lbs. My mom and dad have been on WW since Nov and they've lost over 30lbs without any exercise. Sounds like a plan to me, cause I doubt the walking will last with 3 little ones.
How come you can't lose weight just by chasing kids all over the place? It makes no sense to me!!
I've never been on a diet or tried to shed pounds. Right after having a baby doesn't seem like a good time to put pressure on myself. I plan on continuing to eat well and walking--I always feel better after exercising. BF should help. I've gained 30 pounds.
I did weight watchers prior to getting pregnant so I plan to return to that and taking advantage of the warm outdoor weather and exercising. Hopefully that helps!
I'm hoping BF will help. I plan to walk as much as possible. I may try one of the mom and baby fitness classes or DVDs. I really need to cut out the fast food during lunch. This will be easy when I'm home with the LO but once I go back to work the convience is hard to pass up.
Lots of stroller rides outside...one of the many perks of having a spring/summer baby! Also, i'm going to get back into running once I'm healed up from my c-section, as well as try to eat healthier (i.e. cut out or at least lessen my sugar intake).
I think I've been planning that more than what I plan my pregnancy. I think I'll try Jenny Craig. Does anyone here tried them?
if is not Jenny I guess I'll be eating rabbit food (lettuce) and tuna for a while, no carbs, low fat and low sodium, probably hitting the gym, and doing a lot of pilates. What is your plan?
First step: have the baby. Woo hoo! Easy 10+ lbs there (including the baby, placenta, fluid, etc.). Actually, my coworker lost 20 lb from the day she delivered to the day she left the hospital, but I don't want to count on that much.
Second step: breastfeed and readjust my diet. I'll probably go back to eating the way I did pre-pregnancy. Hopefully I'll be less thirsty. I'm drinking a lot more calories than I normally do, and I miss my Coke Zero!
Third step: light exercise. Probably limit to walking, recumbant biking and swimming at first. I'm still exercising lightly, but with the weight of my stomach and the constant urge to pee, I find I really can't do too much. I walked a mile on the track Monday evening, and had to go to the bathroom really badly after the 2nd lap. By the end, my right hand was really swollen and my sides were aching. And the recumbant bike is not comfortable with the size of my stomach.
Final step: After the recommended time period, I will try to start running and biking again. I'm cautiously optimistic that my fitness level will be only slightly less than what it was pre-pregnancy. For probably the past ten years, my default fitness level seems to be about a 2 mile run. I could go without running for forever, and start off doing 2 miles pretty easily. I don't know what to expect though. My former running lapses have only been maybe 4 or 5 months...not 8-9.
I'm hopeful to be within 10 lbs of my starting weight by the time I go back to work (12 weeks). It'll be much harder to exercise after that.
1. I really wish I could afford Nutrisystem. But I can't.
2. A few years ago I lost 35 pounds on WW. I know it works, and I know the plan so well that there will be no learning curve for me. I plan to follow the points system, BF, and do a lot of walking on mat leave!

1) Stop being a fatass
2) lose about 60 lbs
How I'm going to do this.... I have no idea
i plan to feed my entire family from the nenny. j/k
i am hoping the bfing helps. but otherwise just exercise and diet.

Edit: sorry, I meant Bf women, not PG!
I am hoping to hire a cartoon artist and have them redraw me! I was disppointed in their first attempt.
If that doesn't work, I guess it is back to South Beach, BFing and exercise. I think the redraw thing sounds much better though.
