Ok GP type question

So my CBEFM is screwing up, keeps giving me the littel brush symbol. Those things are not made for infertiles to use for 2 years. So I am goign to get some OPKs. I don;t want to risk missing O on this hail mary cycle and DH wants to hold off on sex until peak days. I usually get the internet cheapies and like those, but I need to start peeing on them today. What brand do you recommend? I have used answer before and they give me 5+ days of peaks

I get several days of positives on Answer dip sticks too, but I use them because I've never gotten a positive on another brand. ?(Never tried digitals though.) ?You may want to use Answer, then when you get a positive, start using digitals?

I always used the Answer brand that came with 20 strips. They worked very well for me and I could test like crazy with that many.

An answer from a GPer.

I use the CBE ones. For a while I used just the regular ones (lines), then on my "hail mary cycle" (I guess you could call it that) I used the smiley face digitals. I won't be using anything but the CBE digitals once we start TTC again. They are so easy to read, it's worth the extra $ to me.

I have not tried the answer dip strips. I may get those, then I can test 2x a day. I am in full freak out mode this cycle

I got the best results from Answer strips. However, in your case, I think you should just go for the digitals.

i used to test with some cheapie ones where you PIAC, then when it would get close to being the same color i'd test with CBE digital (the smiley face ones). i didn't like to be guessing if the colors were hte same, if hte line was dark enough etc. it's a little more money, a lot less guess work.

I'd also rec. the CBE digital. If you want to be extra crazy, you can get the answer dip strips, PIAC and then test a + with the digital.

How about just cleaning your CBEFM?

I used every brand under the sun, and it didn't make much difference.

I have cleaned it a hundred times and everyday i still get the brush symbol. I think its about to kick it. I could probably call them and get them to fix it, but I think we are moving on to a monitored clomid cycle next so I won't need it.

p.s. The Answer brand has the most complaints about false + according to Consumer Reports. I have no clue how you would know it was false + or not, but I just thought that was worth mentioning. Their website rates them all (you need to subscribe) and Answer was rated the worst.

ahhh makes sense, since I usually gets tons of + on those damn things. Even after confirmed O by temps.
