  • Great! I'm not looking forward to that. Dd has been sleeping through the night since she was less than 2 months old.

  • I am hoping Kelsey skips this phenomenon like Teagan did.
  • Oh ya, my LO was sleeping 8-10 hrs a night. Then, all the sudden he wakes up atleast twice a night. Please go back to sleeping like you used to I really miss those nights.

  • how bad did it get?  our LO just started sleeping about 7pm-7am with one or two wakings to eat then goes back to sleep pretty easily.  this is very new, she was a horrible sleeper before 3 months.  just wondering how bad it will/might get again!!!
  • I so hope my LO doesn't go through this!

Ya, many of my friends didn't experience this with their lo.

  • Did it mess with your LO's naps too??  I think I am going through it right now and it is AWFUL!!!!  SHe has been awake since 7 am and wont nap.  I have rocked her for an hour and 15-20 minute intervals and walked around with her and nothing.   I know I am going to pay for it later this afternoon.  And she is waking up at night which she had been STTN for three weekish.

No, it didn't mess with her naps. She takes a nap almost every 2 hours in the day... for about 30 min.

  • none of my friends with babies said they experienced the 4 mo wakeful. it's not that i don't think that it exists- obviously it does- but i'm just not that worried about it since it definitely doesn't happen to every baby. (Liam still gets up once or twice a night anyway...)
  • This is what happened to us; she was STTN 10-12 hours for over a month (very minimal napping, but whatevs. . .) and then BOOM - up 2-3 a night.  I KNEW she could sleep through the night because she had and nothing significant has happened to justify the change

  • I've never heard of this?

Our first started sleeping through the night at 6 weeks and never stopped so there is definitely hope!

Of course, our second is probably never going to sleep through the night, so maybe it balances? Stick out tongue

  • It just started with ds. We didn't experience this with ds #1 so I was shocked when B started waking at night. He used to sttn for over 10 hrs. Now he doesn't go longer than 3-4 Crying
