    Part of the year.  DH has a seasonal job.  However, once we pay off our mortgage, I'm all for DH being a complete SAHD.  He would love that so much.  I would too.

    I have only been back at work for three weeks but we are really happy so far.  A SAHD groups would be awesome.  I wonder if the kids would get tossed like footballs...

    HAHAHA!  My DH was joking about it saying he was going to set up a group at a local sports bar for play dates!!  HAHA

    Yup, DH is a SAHD due to an unexpected lay-off. I LOVE it. Its so nice to have someone cook, clean and do the household chores. Saves me time in the morning not have to get DD ready for day-care and I don't mind working extra hours or staying late knowing the DH is home. Plus she is learning so many new words its nice that DH can tell me all the new things she is doing, and her day-care wouldn't necessarily tell me those details.

    My DH is home to mornings a week. It works out great for us. I wish I was the one, but it just worked out like this. He does things I wouldn't do, but it all works out fine.

    The other day I got a call at work.

    "who would win a fight to the death a frog or a fish"?

    huh?

    I guess he was lining up DS blocks by who would win. funny.

    Yup, DH has been a SAHD since January when I returned from maternity leave.

    Same here, and we love it.

    He keeps the house, I make and handle the money, and no day care worries and expenses.

    We are the all american 1950s couple, just gender reversed.
