Narrowed our GIRL list down!! WDYT & Q's?
Thanks for taking the time to comment on our long list yesterday! We narrowed it down last night to 3 names:
Eva
Leah
Sienna
Let me know which name you like best or the order of your most to least favorite. I made a new babynames.com link which is in my siggy, so vote there too if you can. Now for a few Q's...
Leah: Last night we saw it spelled Leia, do you think people will pronounce it Lay-uh if we spell it Leia?
Sienna: Do you prefer Siena or Sienna... or Ciena (or does that sound too made up)?

i would pronounce it "lay-uh" if you spelled it Leia.
Sienna. that spelling and i think i like it the best.

Sienna is definitely my least favorite of these. I think it sounds like a stripper name. Eva is very pretty but seems to be really popular right now. Leah is fantastic--definitely my favorite of these. Beautiful, classic, everyone knows how to say it, etc. I would pronounce Leia as Lay-uh (isn't "Leia" how you spell Princess Leia from Star Wars?). Stick with the Leah spelling.
Leah or Lea or Lia if you must...Leia is Lay-Uh

I like them in the order you have them -- Eva, then Leah. I really don't care for Sienna.
Please don't spell Leah "Leia" -- yes, I would pronounce that like Princess Leia.

I also love Leah. Yes, if you spelled it Leia I would pronounce it LAY-ah, like Princess Leia, and also think you were probably a Star Wars fan. Leah is a beautiful name and the standard spelling is gorgeous. Why mess with that?
Sienna is NMS, but if you went with it I would likely go with Sienna which is the typical spelling, but I could also see doing Siena like Siena, Italy. I think she would have to spell it a lot for people if you chose Siena though.

and i would def. pronounce leia as Lay-uh

I like Leah the best, then Eva. I really don't like Sienna.
I think if it was spelled Leia I would pronounce it Lay-uh as in Princess Leia. I think Leah is a really nice spelling.
You would think everyone knows how to say Leah, but in reality 95% of the time people think it is pronounced LEE. Extremely irritating.

Ciena sounds made up. Siena looks like a typo. Stick with Sienna.

I had a friend with the middle name Leah, and I pronounced it Lee-uh and she was all "it's lee!" I guess the a and the h are silent???
I like Leah best! Sienna is pretty, too!
