Can't a Baby Just Fuss?

I am so tired of my Mom, every time one of the boys cries, saying

-Oh, that baby is sick.

-I think he has an ear infection

-That baby's belly hurts.

-Look at him, He's in pain.

-He looked at me funny, lets give him some tylenol.

  • i just smile and nod when i hear that...oh she's cold, she needs more head support, etc. etc.

  • My mom says the same, but she's usually right.  She knows the hungry cry, the tired cry, and the "I need to poop or fart" cry (which is an ear piercing scream).  SO I suck as a mom, because MY mother learned her cries faster than I did.  Oh well.

  • Absotutely.  If I picked up M everytime he fussed, I'd never get anything done.  More often than not he stops in less than 30 seconds.
  • I hear ya!

MIL kept telling me that DS had to poop because his tummy extended when he was pushing off of her. Indifferent

I let her believe it. Whatev!

  • With MIL, anytime the baby fusses he's either a) tired, or b) hungry.  Very annoying.

  • My effing MIL is always telling me that when K's screaming, it's her tummy.  She says, "Come here, feel her tummy.  It's hard as a rock."

Um, yeah, you moron.  Her tummy is always hard when she screams.  You try screaming without yours getting hard.  Confused
