So I talked to SIL

We were in class at the gym together last night and were there way early in order to get a spot.  We talked for a little while and then she brought up her IF problems. I could tell she was a little hesitant.  Looks like her H has his s/a tomorrow and she has an appt with a new gyno on the 30th to go over the s/a results and start her testing.  She is convinced its her H since he drinks, smokes and works in 100 degree + conditions, but I told her I was convinced it was H and its all me.  She is kinda freaking out and wants to start the adoption process now instead of waiting for test results.  She is convinced she will never get KU.  I tried to calm her down.  Hopefully after she gets some answers she will feel better.  I think she may persue adoption instead of IUI/IVF, which is great.

    She was probably relieved to finally have someone to talk to. You are such a good SIL.

    that's so nice that she has someone to talk to, and vice versa!  i think for a lot of people, the testing part is so overwhelming and frightening--i think it's b/c you finally admit that you are just not getting KU on your own.

    That's great that you were finally able to talk to her about it, and I'm sure she was relieved to have someone to talk to. Had you emailed her last week, or were you just waiting for her to bring it up?

    I'm glad you were ablt to talk.  I too was convinced it was him, but no, it turned out to be me.

    I'm glad you were able to talk!

    I was convinced it was DH too! He was having performance issues, has high blood pressure and diagnosed with low testosterone. His SA came back awesome though.

    You already know this, but tell her to keep all her options open until she knows more.

    Yeah I did. She tends to over react to things and will believe anything she is told, so I am going to have my hands full trying to steer her in the right direction.

    You are a good SIL! You never know who it is until you do the testing, we all know that. Hope she gets some answers soon, and gets her plan together so she can feel like she is moving forwards.

    Glad you were able to talk to her and give her some good info.  Hopefully, the testing will give her some answers.

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

    I'm glad y'all were able to talk.

    Like so many, we thought it was DH b/c of work conditions and age, but apparently it's not.  It's either me or we're unexplained I guess.  Hopefully you and your SIL will be able to support each other through all this.  It's gotta be nice to have someone IRL to talk to who's going through the same type things.

    glad you were able to talk,  hopefully it'll help you both.  It really is nice to be able to talk to someone IRL about this stuff, that understands what you are going through
