Gdiapers - please help!

I really like the idea of gdiapers but would love to hear from some of you who have actually used them.  Are they as easy as the videos on their website depict?  How many of the "little g pant" do you need?  All-in-all, do you recommend them?  Thanks so much!

We liked them for travel... a plane trip that was 12 hours long, and we used 3-4 of them. In the long run, they are just as expensive as disposables, so we don't do them for everyday.

We have 2 g-pants, but the inserts work well in other brands of covers too.

  • If you're going to use gdiapers. Id recommend using cloth inserts, the flushables are too expensive.

  • Being a first time mom-to-be, I don't have experience with them yet but from what I have read on other green parenting websites most people prefer them for travel or longer outings.  They offer the convenience of disposable but are still eco-friendly.  That is what I plan on using them for.

  • i used them for 2 months with the inserts.  you have to change the liner with every poop, as it always gets on it.  it usually contains it so it doesn't get it on the cloth though.  list pp said...they are expensive.  more so than a disposable.  i started using them with cloth inserts and they are pretty good that way.

i love my pockets soo much better now.  i was afraid of cloth until i came onto this board and learned so much about them.  and they are much easier than gdiapers.  you still have poop to wash on the gdiapers.

if you have a really wriggly baby, they are a little difficult to get set up and on.  the hook and loop on them isn't that great either.  they ALWAYS come undone in the washer.  without fail.

if you have any more questions you can ask.  i really liked them when i used them, but found that i love cloth much more Smile
