I would guess Leighton= lee-ton, but BabyNamesWorld says lay-ton. I know the other spellings are lay-ton. Those ones make more sense to me. Isn't Chiara a girl name? Layton et al are listed as boys names.
They are all pronounced like Layton and are traditionally a boys name, but I could see it being used as a girl's name. Another spelling idea is Lleyton, but I think I like Leighton the most.
(Layton isn't made up, though - there are 2 major streets in Milwaukee named Layton Ave. and Layton Blvd. I'd guess they were named after someone's last name.)
I actually really like the name/spelling Layton! We have a little girl named Layton in my extended family. In her case, it is a family name, so I especially like it.
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/9/11 - 34:24 - 1st race evah!
Kelly Monaghan's 5K - 5/15/11 - 3rd Place in AG
Walk the Talk 5K - 5/18/11 - 31:12 PR
Ridley Run 3.1 - 4/14/12 - 1st race of the year, 32:45
I like Leighton the best. I could see how people might think it is pronounced (Lee-Ton) My middle name is Leigh, and pronouced Lee, so that's what I think of. I do really like the name tho and the spelling is very feminin.

I'm not a fan, but I guess Leighton for a girl.

There is an actress named Leighton Meister.
The name is NMS at all, but if you are going to use it, please spell it "Leighton".
Leighton sounds classic and refined, whereas Layton sounds a bit "made up".
