Our ultrasound technician gave us a guess -- she said that although she could be wrong, she was pretty certain it was a boy. Ask me again in two weeks and I'll tell you whether she was right.
My tech said she was 90% sure it's a boy! But I am taking it with a grain of salt knowing how the parts look alike at this point. Definitely not buying any blue stuff as of yet!
We were hoping they could tell us at our NT Scan today, but it's still too early (11 weeks, 4 days). Will probably have to wait till the 20 week U/S, unless we get antsy and decide to get a 3-D one done sooner.
We were told that they were 90% sure it was a boy during our NT Scan. I questioned it being too early and she just said that it is early but if they get the right shot and the baby is well developed (remember, every baby develops at a different rate) then they can get a good idea based on the 3d/4d u/s, which is what we had done.
That being said, we're not buying blue til the next u/s confirmation on May 12th.
With DS the tech told us that she knew and would tell us if we wanted to know. That NT exam was at around 12 weeks. We waited though. With this pregnany the tech told us she was leaning towards girl but to save any receipts just in case. This exam was at around 13 weeks.
Re: NT scan and gender
I dont know if I've seen your screen name before but I had to comment about it. That is my and DH's pet name for each other. (Some variation of it...)
Schnook, schnooker, schnookie, schnooks....
Corny yes, but it stuck. :-)
OH, and I think most doctors and techs will not predict that early because it could still be developing into proper form.
