Child Care in Oak Park

I'm starting to look for child care options in the Oak Park area. My husband and I both need to be at work by 5 a.m. Does anybody know of any day care centers that are open by then that provide very good child care? If there aren't any places open by then, has anybody used any of the daycare centers in Oak Park and had an excellent experience? Otherwise, does anybody know the approximate hourly wage for a nanny that comes into your house during the day? We only have a 1 BR place, so a live-in nanny or au pair wouldn't be an option. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated! :)

Re: Child Care in Oak Park

  • I'm a current nanny turning mommy and would say that a nanny would be in the range of $11-$12 per hour at the least and some go to $15 and up.

Maybe looking into a nannyshare with a local family would help cut down some of the costs, but given the time frame, the other family would have to come to your house or the nanny takes your child there.

Or even look into a nanny until a day care opens.

    ?

    Hope that helps!?
