2nd Trimester

Need recs for carseat and stroller!

These are the only things I haven't registered for yet. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend like $500 or anything for a travel system but could justify $300 or so if it was highly-rated. Thanks in advance. I am pretty clueless about this!

  • Check out the Chicco travel systems.  They are really highly rated (I think the highest) and everyone I know in real life has one and loves it.  We just got ours, $299 at BRU and they're having a sale this weekend - you could probably scroll back a few days for the coupons someone posted.

  • We have a Graco car seat, but it wasn't a travel system.

I would post this over on 0-6 months.

Ditto. I am getting this one too. IO tested it out at the store, and it's awesome! the website has great videos on the features. BRU has the corinita. https://www.chiccousa.com/

  • We got the Uppa Baby Vista and we're going with the Peg Perego carseat in the matching red that is compatible with it.
  • We're also getting the Chicco travel system (Keyfit carseat and Cortina stroller).  Here is the link to some great coupons at BRU- 15% off all strollers and travel systems.

  • I'm looking at the Baby Jogger City Mini stroller (it's about $220) and gets great reviews.  For carseat, I'm debating between the Graco SafeSeat and SnugRide but both will work with the baby jogger stroller with an adaptor that costs about $60.  Another option is to go with the Graco stroller frame (Snap n go) and car seat for now, then decide on a stroller later...
  • We're also going with the Chicco Cortina Travel System.  Good luck!

  • We're doing the Graco SnugRide 32 (was really easy to use when tested in the store) and a Snap and Go for the first 6 - 12 months. My friend gave us a Baby Jogger and Maclaren umbrella stroller, so we're not planning on buying anything additional after that.

I had the Chicco Cortina Discovery travel system in my cart the other night...I was wanted that stroller. SIL has had 3 children and uses the Graco Saferide and the snap and go for her last child. I figure she knows what she's talking about so we decided against a travel system in general and will be going with the infant carseat and the frame. After the baby outgrows the infant seat we'll get a nice stroller that matches our needs at that point.

  • My husband and I also have decided on the Chicco cortina stroller system.  It is very easy closure and we like how the carseat hooks into the stroller.
