One of my BFFs and I baked the cake recipe you sent me (with the yellow cake and Reese's) and it was seriously the best cake we have ever had. We loved it and are going to use the recipe for gatherings.
"Take nuts, chocolate chips, crushed oreos, basically something you'd like to stir into a Blizzard. Sprinkle in the bottom of a greased/floured 9x13 inch pan. Pour cake batter over it, whatever scratch or boxed mix you want. Bake. When it comes out, spread with a 7 oz jar of marshmallow cream, and sprinkle with a couple tablespoons of whatever's on the bottom. My favorite is Reese's cups and yellow cake, or peppermint patties and dark chocolate."
take a yellow cake mix and in place of all the wet ingredients (eggs/oil/water) just add 2 cups of egg nog. Mix it well and then pour it into a well buttered cake pan that you have pressed sliced almonds into the butter. bake according to pkg dorections. I used a springform pan with scallops on the bottom so when I popped it out it was all pretty and stuff. Dusted with a little icing sugar and nutmeg and voila.
Yum, Brookie, that sounds delicious! I'll have to try that next Christmas!!
We spread the marshmallow on it when it was first out of the oven, and put the Reese's on it when it was hot as well. They melted into the marshmallow nicely. It was so freaking good. TRY IT TONIGHT!?
Re: OMG Lori Falce, you're a genius!
