Getting worried about summer?

Oh boy. It was maybe 75 today and I was miserable, A/C blasting. I'm going to be 9 months pregnant in July? Shoot me!

Its about 96 here and I was thinking the same thing! I am due the first week in Sept and August is usually one of the hottest months here!

haha talk to me when your due date is August 30 (ie: 3rd tri is June, July, and August!) and you live in the South.

I might not ever leave my A/C filled house. hehe

it's 95 today. I just stay inside with all the windows closed. Haven't even turned on the Ac yet!

I just don't plan on being outside much this summer. We have a vaca to Palm Springs planned in June and I plan on sitting in the pool or being in AC. Other than that - I will be a hermit.

I know! When I tell people my due date, they often make comments about how it's going to be so hot in the summer (and I'm in FL too!), and I just blow them off. But, it's only April and I'm already starting to see what they mean.

Gotta love the California heat! It's pretty hot today in Central Cali as well. Kudos to you for not turning on the AC. Ours has been full blast all day.

August due date here....and I'm actually looking forward to the summer 3rd tri because I live in the country!! I don't have to wear anything if I don't want to.... Geeked

That'll be nice!! Plus we have an above ground pool and AC. I should be set!!

I console myself with some words from a friend - its better than having a newborn in the summer because then you have to struggle making them comfortable too, and you cant just crank the a/c on a newborn baby.

If it makes you feel better, I'm not due until Aug. 27th...

But honestly, there's nothing I can do about it, so I just plan to stay as cool as possible whenever possible.

I know how you feel. I am due in Spetember and we have no central air. I told DH that I will be living out of the bedroom for the summer since we will have a window a/c in there.

Am I nuts for not worrying about this? I'm due Sept 2, but am not too concerned about the heat because:

1. I live in MN.

2. I freeze in air conditioning, so I'm thinking pregnancy will just make me want it at 64 like DH.

3. Our basement always feels like it's 40 ... even when the AC is broken in the house. I can always go down there to cool off.

I'm not looking forward to the summer either. West Texas can get pretty blazin, in the 100s. At least it's a dry heat. Everyone keeps reminding me how miserable I'm going to be, ugh. I wish I had a pool!

I am really not looking forward to summer either. I live in missouri and it is a very wet gross heat during the summer months. My hubby bought me all new double pane windows for our home so our air conditioner can keep up with the rising temperatures. Last year we would set it at 67 and it would still be really hot in the house from our old crappy windows. God love him, I would have died this year...I am due Aug 8.
