We are not driving trough bend.  Is there anything other than the state park that we could meet at 1/2 way?  2.5 hrs is a long way for either of us to go just to meet for a little bit but an hour wouldnt be bad.

    I mean I could talk to DH about veering off 5 at 97 and going that way (2.5 hrs out of our way) but that would put us in Bend at like 7 am

    I don't know, I'll have to ask DH.  I'm thinking there is nothing but parks and campgrounds (good 'ol Oregon, man I miss living in a big city).  I don't know that I'd be able to make it work anyway right now, I'm on a crazy deadline at work and that is going to be the last week of my project so I'll probably be working night and day.

    Let me know nothing is set til we get back from South bend/ Chicago.  If we cant do it this time then for sure next time.  We try to get to OR every summer.  AND if you ever come south I am right off I-5.
