Does anyone use Simply Thick Nectar?

Does anyone have to use simply thick nectar to thicken their baby's liquids?  We have been using it since January, and with our last order, it has gotten stuck in the midwest due to bad weather.  We are pretty much out and so I figured I would check on here and see if anyone else is using it and has some to spare that I could buy off of you this weekend?  This is so frustrating... I guess I should have ordered earlier, but we were waiting for her follow up appointment to see if she still needed it.

Re: Does anyone use Simply Thick Nectar?

  • Hi there, ?I have ?bunch of Simply thick - Honey consistency. ?Not sure if that will be too thick or not for your needs. ?

I understand your frustration, there are only two places in the south sound that carry Simply Thick and it always took a long time to come from the company. ? We would buy two boxes at time, but it seemed to go so fast.

?Let me know if I can help, ?jeswoo@comcast.net

  • I'm a speech pathologist and I have experience with swallowing disorders, but not with little ones. I'm assuming you're using it because of swallowing delays?

You can also use corn starch if you're in a pinch. Just add it little by little until you get the thickness you're after.

  • Thanks everyone... we ended up talking to a nurse whose son has to use simply thick and she said that in the past they have used thick it, which is available at FM, Rite Aid, Bartells, etc.  It is not as good as simply thick, but works whn you run out.
