Is it normal to keep losing weight while breast feeding. I lost all the baby weight plus more. I am down to a size 2. I don't diet.I eat well. It's just werid how I keep dropping weight. I just figure its from breast feeding. Does breast feeding make you lose weight?

Re: BF and losing weight
Ohh I hope this happens to me too! I'm down 37 lbs, but still have 18 lbs more to go until pre-preg weight. Of course I'm eating horribly (just finished off 1/3 of a pan of brownies actually) but since I'm still losing weight at a steady pace, I'm thinking I'll be back to "square one" in 2 months just from BFing.
I do have a friend who went 5 lbs below within 4 months PP.
There's a weight loss post below...HERE
The Baby Blog.
I don't know if it's because of BFing, but I'm under my pre-pg weight already (although I'm now shaped a bit differently) and DS is only 7 days old. I do seem to be eating a little less at meals and a little more often though, so that could be contributing.
You need to eat more. I don't know the exact # of calories BF burns but it is quite a bit.
Well I haven't been a size 2 since... idk, elementary school?
But yeah, I kept losing weight the entire time I BF'd. And I ate plenty, 3 full meals, plus snacks and desserts and midnight snacks while nursing (nursing at night made me hungry as well as thirsty). I was definitely eating more than I did pre-pg or even than I ate while pg and still lost weight. And I was not exercising other than an afternoon stroll with DD around the neighborhood.
So I lost about 16lbs on top of losing my pg weight.
