Is it too early?

Is it too early for a "big" outing with DS? DH & I were thinking of going to the TX Hill Country Wine and Food fest on Sunday for a few hours. The weather's supposed to be perfect, but I'm worried about whether or not he's too young (no shots yet, obviously).

The tentative plan was to take some chairs and camp out under a tree while we take turns going into the different tents and demonstrations. Hopefully this will keep germy hands off of him but give us a chance to get out of the house for awhile. Am I crazy to consider this?

I think if you feel mentally and physically up for it then you should definitely go. I would probably wear him in a sling for while you are walking around so people are not tempted to touch him though.

Go for it! We took Babytaffy to the Pumpkin Patch Festival thing at Katykake's family farm at about that same age, and even laid him down in pumpkin piles and patches for photos.

I say go for it. When mine was this young, we took her out alot, and I just closed the cover thingy on her carrier and stroller, and no one would even bother attempting to sneak a touch.

I would go! We flew on a plane at 3 weeks old. If you are feeling up to it I would go. Have fun!!

I took both my babies to the Tour of Homes when they were young infants. I carried them in the sling and it was great to get us all out of the house together for something I (mentally enjoyed) and some exercise/out of the house time. Have a great time!

ISounds like a blast... I'd think if you were outside it would be way less germs... We never had a big problem with people touching DS. I agree! Go for it!

I say go for it too. ?We've been out several times so far because I easily go stir crazy. ?I wear him in the sling most of the time, and no one has tried to touch, and just one person asked me to see him. ?It's really nice to get out of the house.
